Time to deconstruct my computer.

Literally.
Wow. I am *really* impressed with the magnets that hold the screen on!

They are much stronger than the resistance of the screen to shattering!
On the downside, I was not able to the fly corpse out from under my screen!

But on the upside, I now have twin cracks spidering across my screen from each upper corner to distract me from the little black speck!
I’m pretty sure I could’ve cracked my screen with home tools, though.

I don’t see why I had to buy special suction cups to do it.

1 He claims repeatedly that the problem with religious believers is that they cannot or will not ever change their mind
2 He writes books attempting to get them to change their minds
He even formulates this as a very precise NO TRUE SCOTSMAN argument.

How does he KNOW that “NO real fundamentalist” would ever say such a thing?

It is the ration of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.

This ratio is IRRATIONAL.

This means that the two lengths, the circumference and the diameter HAVE NO COMMON MEASURE.

So there JUST IS NO LENGTH that can MEASURE both lines.
THEREFORE, when you have a triangle, one side of which is the length of the circumference and another at a right angle the length of the diameter, YOU CANNOT MEASURE BOTH. So you CANNOT prove by MEASURE that the hypotenuse is the length Pythagoras’ theorem says it should be.
SO your claim that Pythagoras’ theorem can be “proven” with a ruler is false.

SO you remain a CRETIN with no understanding of how mathematical proofs WORK.

HINT: NOT WITH RULERS.

Where are the POC finalists?
Many of us did great work this year and these four are among them.

But while I support the work of all these people and we follow each other, I am disturbed at the whiteness of this list when black women in particular did so much critical work.
The #Resistance is a vast array of people. Eliding POC from recognition is a serious lapse which I hope the finalists themselves will speak out about.

We cannot, as a movement, ignore or dismiss the work POC, most notably black women, are contributing.

I won't make a list here--I don't want to accidentally leave anyone off and there are so many voices who matter to me--but there are POC I read every day and I am certainly shocked that someone who has been in the forefront of the movement like @docrocktex26 isn't a finalist.
