#Resistance family: I pretty much dropped off of twitter for a couple weeks, dealing with personal shit and trying to check my rage and restlessness with the status quo. And, of course, everything is worse now, and in a couple more weeks, it will be even more worse. 1/

I'm tired. Of the fact that this Administration continues to defile our country with impunity. Tired of racists (becoming more emboldened by the day). Tired of cops getting away with (literally) murder. Tired of human beings being locked in cages like animals. 2/

I'm tired of the fact that brown Americans are made to feel as though they're not Americans (even those born here). It makes me tired that, as each day brings us closer to school starting, my stomach ties into knots, thinking about what could happen to my children there, 3/

because the officials that we have elected cannot even pass common sense gun laws. I'm tired of feeling a sense of dread when I tell someone my sexual orientation. I'm tired of going to the store, where each time, my money buys me less and less. I'm tired of barely having 4/

enough money to scrape by (and not from lack of effort). I'm tired of the fact that our capitalist society only works for some. I'm tired of the fact that people cannot afford life saving medications, and that some of those people are Veterans. I'm tired of everyone who 5/

stands by, watching as our planet dies. It makes me tired to think of how few people have access to mental health care, and that it is still so stigmatized. I'm so very tired of watching a foreign nation, successfully, execute a coup on a global level with impunity. 6/

Finally, I'm tired of the lack of backbone I see, in a lot of our elected representatives, who actually have the power within their grasp, to effect change on any and/or all of these issues. I am so. fucking. tired.
