... your problem is the people who profit most from hydrocarbons expend significant sums in controlling the political system and on misinformation inclduing creating an illusion that there is no alternative and that we cannot exist without the current system.
It's normal for those who benefit most from a system to claim there is no alternative to the system in order to maintain their advantage. It's always nonsense.
