Three years ago today, at 4:36PM Pacific Time, this tweet was sent out from an account with no followers.

What a ride it has been ever since.

In the last three years, the Sleeping Giants community has grown to nearly 350,000 between our Twitter and Facebook accounts and our 11 International chapters like @slpng_giants_fr @slpng_giants_ca and @slpng_giants_oz.

Along the way, nearly 4,500 advertisers have decided to drop Breitbart and, according to Steve Bannon himself, Sleeping Giants has been responsible for the site losing over 90% of their ad revenue

We played a large part of advertisers leaving Bill O’Reilly’s show after revelations of his $32 Million settlements of sexual harassment suits against him.

We were relentless in getting social platforms to finally enforce their Terms of Service on Alex Jones, who had used their sites to incite harassment against Sandy Hook parents — and it finally worked.

We asked advertisers if they wanted to support a show whose host has said that immigrants make our country “poorer and dirtier,” and, for the most part, they decided it did not reflect their corporate values.

It hasn’t always been easy. There was getting exposed, then doxxed in the comment section, by The Daily Caller and then threatened with a lawsuit by Breitbart. And there has been shit tons of personal harassment aimed at us.

But all told, it has been wild to watch this thing grow and change from an account with no followers and no funding to a worldwide movement with...no funding.

Thanks to everyone who has played a part in this crazy thing.

We’ll keep it going until it doesn’t work anymore.

Hate, bigotry and harassment should never be acceptable or profitable and we’re happy to be a part of holding that line.
