1) Total loss of staff by the police since 2010 is closer to 40k - gov.uk/government/col…
2) The 20k more Police doesn't mean 20k more front line staff (of which we've lost 20k).
3) It's questionable whether we still have the infrastructure in place to train this increase.
... in other words, it's going to take a long time to undo the damage that austerity, privatisation, sell-offs (land etc) and quite frankly the Conservatives (with help from the LibDems) have done to our services over the last decade.
However, this is just supply side of such services ... there's the whole damage to the fabric of society, the 14M in poverty, the 120k excess deaths through austerity, the backlog of maintenance, the cuts to court service, the ... oh, it just goes on and on and on.
