Höhöhö. After years of reliably having the most fashionable opinion on everything, and enjoying the applause you get for it, Mellers has finally expressed one very mildly unfashionable opinion, possibly for the first time in his life.
And you won't believe what happened next.
In these situations, why do these people never pause, and think:
"Hmmm, maybe all this applause I used to get for years wasn't really because what I said was so brilliant. Maybe it was just because I told people what they wanted to hear. And now I've seen what happens if I don't"
That awful moment when you realise: You don't have "fans". You have trendy opinions. The moment you stop expressing trendy opinions, and express an un-trendy one, your former "fans" will turn against you, quicker than you can type #JC4PM or #IStandWithJeremyCorbyn.

Taken on Golders Green high street by a friend of my uncle's: cop writes up shopkeeper for drawing *in chalk* lines to keep her customers two metres apart.
sorry, not Golders Green - Edgware.
The combination of #FBPE #GetBrexitDone #JC4PM and #ACAB people agreeing over this in my mentions is... almost beautiful...?

Post from Jane Dickens on Facebook.

I met Jeremy Corbyn in Cockermouth after the floods in 2015. I thanked him for coming and pointed out that there were many people on the other side of the river who were having a really hard time.
He turned to his companions, "Have we time to go?" They said, "No, sorry." Corbyn turned to me & said, "Where are they?"
He went there and spent time visiting residents, taking photos on his own phone, thanking volunteers & listening to the heartbreaking stories with not a TV camera in sight.

Hello twitter, I'm a retired gardener, 63, and my son has just set me up this twitter so I can get news that isn't from the BBC/ITV. I'd like to say I used to vote Conservative out of ignorance, unfortunately i never really thought about it and just saw it as my duty to vote and
have voted the same as my late mother and father all my life. I had a well off family background growing up and am lucky enough to own my own home. I have seen how hard it has been for my grand kids to afford their own homes and it breaks my heart as I feel partly responsible
for the situation we are currently in. I am now however voting Labour with all my heart because I have been shown how manipulative the media is in this country. I always had suspicion of it but the election coverage of Jeremy has opened my eyes to it. I even voted Brexit

@BBCPolitics @BBCNews 1/ I’ve set up a twitter account just for this response. It seems the MSM are not reporting this across far reaching formats. This will gain a lot of traction with the youth vote on social media. We need this to teach the boomers #Election2019 #labour #Conservatives #BorisJohnson
@BBCPolitics @BBCNews 2/ the mothers waking up tomorrow morning, the children eating their cereal, the elderly before reading their morning paper, the factory workers on the TVs in their lunch break, the commuters tuning in on the radio on their drive home. This needs to be heard!
@BBCPolitics @BBCNews 3/ if nothing is done, this message will fade out over the weekend and be completely forgotten, or even worse, not absorbed by Thursday. We have to force the media’s hand on this. Let’s make this tweet from the BBC trend worldwide. To the point where it is newsworthy in itself.

Last night after an incident in London in which members of the public were killed #FrancesBarber took the opportunity to link #JeremyCorbyn to the act of terror! In her eagerness to smear #Corbyn with the charge of #Antisemitism she herself made antisemitic comments
You may perhaps think that this is just a one off Jibe but it is not.
#Antisemitism & #Racism needs to be rooted out wherever it raises its head. Unfortunately #FrancesBarber is not really concerned about #Antisemitism rather she likes to focus her hate on #JC4PM Corbyn's actions would suggest not! bit.ly/35MONcn @threadreaderapp "Unroll"

THREAD: I can't support Jeremy anymore. All my followers know I'm 100% Corbyn. I paid my £3. I voted for him as leader twice.

I've done just about everything I can to support him.

When people started revealing so-called facts about him I was the first to fight back & deflect
When they said he wasn't a man of peace I lied and said he had won the Nobel peace prize
forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/229…
When they said he's friends with terrorists who he calls friends, like everyone else I would deflect and say the person speaking was a zio hasbarah troll.

Let me tell you why I'm so worked up about this election. I was pregnant in 2009 & therefore a convenient scapegoat for the first round of cuts in further education, where i was contracted to work as a Computer lecturer & adult computer literacy tutor. I was pregnant by a man
Who wanted me to get rid of the baby and when I wouldn't, made my life hell. He refused to leave the house I rented, he was abusive in so many ways but it wasn't until I did the freedom programme several years later that I realised how bad things had actually got. So, heavily
Pregnant, I found myself a new place to live. He was furious I'd left and over the following years the stalking and bullying began. But that's a side issue to the politics of it. I had to go onto jobseekers allowance & attend employment courses with my big pregnant belly

Voting for Labour won't do much for me personally. I'm in that middle bracket that won't benefit from a compassionate benefits system, I don't have to worry about paying more tax, I'm in decent health so the NHS isn't high on my list of priorities - so why do I support JC?
Because I have a child now. Do I want him to grow up with the same opportunities that were afforded me? Do I want an education system that puts profit before learning? Where if he goes to Uni he will be in debt for the next 25 years? Where the housing market is locked out for him
Where the job market consists of lots of opportunity if you are happy to work on zero hours contracts with poor pay, no sick pay and no holiday pay. Where the govmt are happy to piggy back on USA foreign policy regardless of the harm it causes and the deaths it brings.

So I don't understand it. It's not a pretence. I simply don't get it.

Jeremy Corbyn is the Leader of the Opposition. He is the only legitimate choice as caretaker PM. The fact that we're having a debate on this is mind-numbing.

I don't get it.

But perhaps I do.
See, from a purely procedural standpoint, we shouldn't even be having this debate. Jeremy Corbyn is the legitimate choice to take on this responsibility.

We're facing a potential national catastrophe, and we don't have time for a debate that really doesn't matter.
However. I'm deliberately missing the point here, and for good reason. This debate is a construction. A facade.

It has been created by the people who for four years have deliberately and wilfully misrepresented Corbyn's every position. And they expect us to buy into it.

Seriously, if anyone wants to organise a Twitterstorm to support those striking NHS workers in Bradford, get in touch here.

I believe that their battle is THAT important. We need to back them up. Who's with me?

#Bradford #ForTheMany #SaveOurNHS #JC4PM
If all the people who like this tweet back me up on this, we can potentially make it happen.

More than happy to receive support from bigger accounts than mine if they agree with me here.

If we can support those workers, we have to. They're fighting for all of us.
So impressed with the response comrades. I was away yesterday so I missed this.

If you want to support the Twitterstorm then check this out!

THREAD: Into the belly of the beast 2!

It's the mornin after the #Panorama hit job, I'm in a BBC studio lookin to defend JCs Labour & get a few truth nuggets onto the airwaves.
Nerves are in equal proportion to the gravity of the situation. We NEED a Labour gov. #VictoriaLIVE 1/
I was astounded to find that a researcher for this program focused on 'Labour Antisemitism' had never heard of Al Jazeeras 'The Lobby'. During a pre-screening phone call I explained what was revealed in that program, an infinitely more revealing expose than the BBCs effort. 2/
Armed w/ pages of notes, I knew what I wanted to say, including excellent input from twitter. But when it came to it, the chances I got were curtailed by the host. Others were given time for long speeches, I was cut off when I mentioned Jackie Walker. 3/

When considering issues as a member of a political group, remember

1) Being a member of a group does not make your logic or actions invulnerable to recourse or argument. You are an individual.

2) Unquestioning belief in the group is dangerous.
3) Those who express contradictory views are often attacked because it risks pointing out fallacies in arguments or weaknesses in ideology or behaviour.

4) No group has a complete unity of ideas amongst its members, it just claims to.
5) This, in part, is due to a pressure exerted on members to conform to the groups ideology. It is a manipulative practice, and we are susceptible to it because we wish to belong

An example of a lie getting half way around the world before the truth has a chance to put its boots on.

I’m fed up of the character smears, but in today’s bizarro world, this week musician spends days libelling me, and for this is called a ‘Star’ by an ex-England footballer 🤦🏼‍♀️
Back in December, off the back of a shower of hate I’d received for posting evidence of the UK’s growing anti-Jewish racism problem with the left, I received this message from a teenage girl telling me I should be ashamed of myself etc...
What followed was a polite exchange from both parties, as we both explained our positions.

Weeks later, as the spotlight on antisemitism, and my part in that grew, this exchange was then used by some other people seeking to discredit me, to smear me as a ‘viscous child bully’.

I served my country. I saw the horrors war and I was scarred. I saw hate and fear in equal measure. I find it harder since my service to maintain my anger. I react inappropriately at times to the mildest of criticism. I have sought counselling but keep reliving the past.
I never judged someone by their religion, ethnicity, colour or gender. When someone was dying, injured or in distress I reached out to help. It was what I had signed up for it was what I trained for. I thought it would make a difference.
It did make a difference. It changed me it left me damaged because I could not being the suffering to an end. Today the UK feels like the War Zone I left behind. Division, distrust and hate seep from every sinew of our society.

1. And now I'm going to tell a story. Another false flag. This time is to force @POTUS not to take the US army out of #Syria.
They already have a lot of experience (8 years) to make chemical attacks to accuse the Syrian government.
OH, and they even have a manual.🧐😲🤨

Here’s all you need to know about the state of the current @UKLabour Antisemitism crisis, displayed over the last 12 hrs.

For months now, I’ve been speaking out to highlight the growing problem of AS in the UK.

On Monday I recorded a Podcast with @krishgm which comes out today
Upon hearing this, some people are worried.
I’ve deleted her handle to avoid a pile on, also I really want nothing to do with her.
Rosie is a 16 year old girl who claims I’m a bully.
I could ignore this, but 1st, it’s wrong. And 2nd, it’s being spread by some dangerous people.
Here are the messages of abuse aimed at me from replies to Rosie’s msgs.
Note @LabLeftVoice is a rabid and dangerous antisemite who has had complaints made about them to the Jewish Community Security Trust @CST_UK as she shares home addresses of people she doesn’t like (doxxing)

And lo, unto her did appear a host of Corbyn defenders, who did descend upon her mentions, and she was not sore afraid, because she was used to it. And the host did sing with one voice, ‘ungodly woman, thou foolest us not. We know the true reason thou despisest Saint Jeremy.’ 1
And she did say unto them ‘share thy hot take.’ And with righteous wrath they did declare, ‘thou fearest Saint Jeremy, friend of the poor, because he shall take from thee in taxation much more even than Herod, and so thou attackest the meek and honest saviour of this land.’ 2
And she did reply, ‘I shall not call ye dimwits, for it is the season of goodwill, but tis not Saint Jeremy who shall tax me, nay, not even if he enters the house of Number Ten, for my tax rates are set by Queen Nicola, in whose kingdom I do abide, and unto her I do pay

1/8 My favorite #quote by #JosephStalin, which explains the scientific, #DialecticalMaterialist explanation of true freedom in material reality, not just as an abstract ideal. #StalinIsBack #StalinLives #JVStalin #Stalin #StalinQuote #StalinQuotes #Truth #MELS #MarxismLeninism
2/8 Having an #objective, #rational, #ScientificSocialist, #Dialectical, & #Materialist viewpoint allows us to accurately see & evaluate & analyze #Truth & #Reality as they truly materially exist in this universe.
3/8 An idealistic, dogmatic viewpoint, which capitalists have, however, makes one irrational enough to 'see' freedom where freedom stays trapped on a piece of paper while people are oppressed in their actual lived lives.
