This made me SO angry: Blind Ghanaian student was dragged out of an Oxford Union debate BY HIS ANKLES because they wrongly thought he wasn’t allowed to be there. The union THEN disciplines HIM for - I shit ye not - “violent hand gestures” and suspended him for two terms. 1/ 
Oxford Union eventually backtrack and “unreservedly apologise” (not for their behaviour, but for “distress caused - which seems to me pretty fucking reservéd). I wonder why they thought this African man didn’t belong in the Oxford Union. 🤔 IT’S A MYSTERY WORTHY OF POIROT. 2/
The President of the Union, whose decision was to discipline the disabled student, a PPE oik named Brendan McGrath - no doubt “a very good sort of chap” being groomed for politics - has not resigned or apologised or even issued any sort of statement acknowledging he fucked up. 3/
The whole sorry affair is on video, including an entire row of gormless attendees, latte-in-hand, just watching a black man with a white cane being manhandled. And THIS sort of place is the assembly line where future politicians are put together. No wonder we are fucked. 4/END
