ELECTION PLEA - a thread:

1/ As we near election day, I would like everyone to consider the following:

I realise how much hope and expectations have been invested in Corbyn's Labour by so many who are particularly disenfranchised by the current system.

2/ However, notwithstanding what you wish will come out of a Corbyn led gov. please don't be blinded to what else will come with it.

Corbyn is a racist! By the universally accepted def. of antisemitism, Corbyn is an antisemite. Antisemitism is specifically Jew hating racism

3/ He has breached the definition on a consistent basis and the examples linked to this post have been added to significantly since it was first put together.

4/ It is an unbelievable claim that someone who by definition, is an antisemite, is not going to harm the Jewish community and as preposterous as claiming that someone who, by definition is a racist or supports a Party such as the BNP, is not harmful to the BAME community.

5/ It’s just that Corbyn’s Labour obsesses and focusses very specifically on Jews

6/ Still don’t believe me?
Corbyn’s Party is currently being investigated by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission with their findings, unfortunately, not being released until after the election.

7/ Corbyn’s Labour Party is the only Party, other than the BNP, the EHRC has seen a need to investigate.
The original complaint contained over 15,000 pages of examples and has been added to on a weekly basis since then.

Let that sink in.

8/ When, as expected, the investigation finds Corbyn’s Labour Institutionally Racist, will you be some1 who put them in power or some1 who stood by your anti-racist principles, despite the hopes you invested in Labour and refused to vote for anyone who might put Corbyn in Power?

9/ Irrespective of how much you want him to be 'the man', please consider the consequences
The UK Jewish community, numbering less than 300,000 and therefore electorally insignificant, is currently living in fear with the metaphorical suitcase packed and ready for a speedy escape

10/ Think that is an exaggeration; consider how many Labour MPs and members have been hounded out because of their ethnicity, Luciana Berger, Ian Austin and Louise Ellman being some of the more high-profile examples

11/ If Corbyn stands by & allows it to happen in his party, why on earth should the Jewish community have faith in it being any different nationally.

12/ This isn't a normal election. To the Jewish community in the U.K. this is an existential election to determine if they even have a future in the U.K

13/ Many have relations and family based in Israel, which boycotts threatened by Corbyn’s Labour would not only jeopardise but potentially make it impossible for them to remain here

14/ Sounds unlikely?

On behalf of the Jewish community in the UK, please stand with them.

15/ France has the third largest Jewish population in the world, numbering around 500,000. Between 1982 – 2000 about 25,000 left for Israel, since 2000 more than 50,000 have left, mainly because of rising antisemitism

16/ The same could easily happen here but it is not too late to stop it.
There are so many issues coming into play in this election but more than anything it will show the Jewish community if they have a long term future here.
