ETHNIC CLEANSING & CULTURAL GENOCIDE IN #KASHMIR

Since the coming of #Islam to #Kashmir, since 1389 there have been 7 recorded exoduses of Kashmiri #Hindus and #Sikhs due to genocide and persecution at the hands of radical Islam.

The first exodus OF #Hindus from #Kashmir (AD 1389-1413) was under the Shah Mir Dynasty. Tourists may not notice that the iconic Dal Lake has a mass grave of Kashmiri Hindus known as "Bhatt Mazar" or "grave of Brahmins".

The second mass exodus (1506-1585) of Kashmiri #Hindus and #Buddhists was under Ali Shah Chak Dynasty, which made the persecution of Kashmiri Hindus a royal policy.

They boasted that they killed 900 Hindus daily for refusing to convert to Islam.

The third exodus (1585-1751) of #Hindus from #Kashmir was under #Mughal tyranny. Jehangir & Aurangzeb being the worst, known for regularly abducting and forcing Hindu Kashmiri girls & selling them into sexual slavery or marrying them off to Muslim men.

The situation during the 3rd #Hindu exodus from #Kashmir was so dire that during Aurangzeb’s rule they appealed to #Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur ji for help. He gave his life in order to protect them for Dharm. His severed head & body are enshrined at Gurudwara Shish Ganj in Delhi.

The 4th and most brutal exodus (1751-1820) of #Hindus from #Kashmir was under the Afghan Durrani occupation. Jiziya tax burden on Hindus was unbearable, many actively forced to flee the Valley, and their women regularly abducted and sold in the slave markets of Afghanistan.

During this 4th brutal exodus of #Hindus from #Kashmir, in 1820 the #Sikh & Dogras came in and kicked the Afghans out, bringing relief to Kashmiri Hindus. Sikhs then also became an integral part of the Dharmic population in Kashmir.

However there was no demographic reversal & resettlement of #Kashmir's #Hindus & #Sikhs, nor was the fanatical core of Mullas & Sufis removed, nor was there any attempt to allow converts to willingly revert to #Sikhism/#Hinduism. Thus, this relief was short until 5th exodus.

The 5th #Hindu exodus (1931, 1947) from #Kashmir was under the British who instigated a Muslim uprising against Dogra Rule for refusing to part with #GilgitBaltistan, which the #British wanted direct control over for their 'Great Game' against Czarist Russia.

British also actively aided the 1947 Pakistani invasion of #Kashmir and brutal massacre of #Sikhs & #Hindus in J&K. About 20,000 Sikhs were murdered, along with mass rape of women in Alibagh concentration camp in Pak-occupied Kashmir. Warcry: "#Sikh ka sar, #Hindu ka zar".

The 6th #Hindu exodus (1986) from #Kashmir was triggered by the Jama'at-e-Islami & @MehboobaMufti & @OmarAbdullah political families in an India lead by the @INCIndia. 40 temples desecrated, 1500 Hindu homes looted, 300 set ablaze. #Hindu scholars, doctors, etc. gunned down.

The 7th & latest exodus (1990) of #Hindus & #Sikhs from #Kashmir happened under @INCIndia Party's VP Singh government. Hindus were given the option to die or convert to #Islam. Mosque loud-speakers blared messages like, 'We want Kashmir without Hindus but with their women'.

During the 7th #Hindu exodus from #Kashmir, jihad posters were pasted on doors of Hindu homes. Published goal of these chants and even newspaper ads was total domination of #Shariah Law over Jammu & Kashmir. Later #Sikhs would be targeted, such as Chattisinghpora massacre.

Beyond terrorist and religious #Islamic organizations, systematic discrimination by the J&K state apparatus explicitly or implicitly reserved all jobs, grants and placement opportunities for #Muslims, with many #Hindus & #Sikhs being told to go find opportunities in "India".

The abrogation of #Article370 and 35A could thus be a historic turning point - not just in the history of "independent" India, but since the 14th century arrival of #Islam in #Kashmir and the seven exoduses of Kashmiri #Hindus under brutal persecution.
