NEW: @Nigel_Farage tells me he believes the PM’s effective Chief of Staff and close adviser Sir Eddie Lister personally attempted to bribe Brexit Party candidates to step down and was at the centre political “corruption” at “the heart of Downing St”.
Says he doesn’t regret standing down where he did “you can’t live life like that” but does say he is “angry” with how his party has been treated and how Downing St has behaved. Says he doesn’t expect anything to come of police investigation, for political reasons but “we’ll see”
