Looks like DOJ is trying to impose A.G. Barr's Matter of M-S- and overturn our injunction by regulatory fiat, stripping IJs of the authority to hear bond cases for previously-eligible asylum seekers that have been found to have a credible fear of persecution.
DOJ is also seeking to made more modifications to the asylum application, likely requiring more evidence be filed early in the process.
A new potential proposed regulation in the Unified Agenda relating to BIA appeals, to "ensure that immigration proceeding appeals are adjudicated in a consistent and timely manner," which makes me worried about the recent change allowing the Director to issue decisions.
Looks like @DOJ_EOIR is about to drop a zombie regulation as a final rule on jurisdiction and venue, that could help the agency expand video hearings across the immigration court system.

The comment period ended 4/27/2007. It's been 12 years, and no new comment period expected!
