Neo4j 4.0 is in the testing phase. You can read some more here, but 2 biggest new things are:

✅ Multi-database support
✅ Fine-grained security

This means though that Neo4j is no longer one big graph. It's multiple graphs, strongly separated, and so that's how Halin looks at it.

Each graph can be independently started, stopped, and deleted.

And of course you can make new ones.

For existing database data you have, if you use #APOC, you'll get some high-level overview statistics on what's in a database.

If you're not using Neo4j 4.0 yet (and most people aren't yet) -- never fear! You'll still have this same "multi database" layout, you'll just see only one database called Neo4j, and of course you won't be able to create a new one.

And yes -- you'll be able to grant, deny, and revoke fine grained permissions to any user on any database through Halin. That code is "mostly" working, but didn't make it into this release because 4 isn't ready yet. By Neo4j 4.0 GA, it'll be there.

As I try to make true of every Halin release, the diagnostics advisor has gotten a little bit better, a little bit smarter.
