In 2007, I had a dream that I died on the road to Lagos from Bowen University!

While many students travelled home for the holidays, I stayed back on campus out of fear

My mother also called me and said "A prophet told me you are in danger, come to Lagos immediately"

What!

I told my mother I wasn't coming to Lagos.
I was scared the prophet was trying to lure me to the road so that the devil can kill me!
I was not very knowledgeable in the things of the spirit at the time but the "come to Lagos" call was too suspect!
I stayed on campus watching "24"

There were about 10 of us on campus at the time
To each his own reason for not going home
As a campus fellowship executive, I was drafted in to lead fellowship for students returning for Summer school!
The chaplaincy made a generous arrangements for some stipends for us

The day Summer school began, I was preparing to teach Bible Studies

The Holy Spirit said to me, "What are you doing here?"

I know Him
He doesn't ask questions to which He doesn't know the answer!
I said "Somebody is trying to kill me! I saw it! I was lying dead on the roadside"

Two years before this time the pioneer chaplain of Bowen University Rev. Goke Adeleke and His mentee Rev. Tayo Orodiji had died in a ghastly motor accident on their way to Iwo from Abuja!
The trauma never really left me
I didn't see the carnage, but from what I heard and imagined

It was horrible!
I had spent months lamenting about such an ending to the lives of two giants of the gospel!
It had become a strong hold in my heart!
I didn't know it but somehow I had come to develop a phobia for long journeys by road and started projecting the fear in my dream!

The Holy Spirit made me see this!
His presence presented my fear to me in the blink of an eye
"But what about the prophet that met with my mother and confirmed my dream?" I asked
The Holy Spirit said "When you project fear, demons pay attention! It's like shark smelling blood!"

Oh!
Somehow I also understood what he meant
My fear was given expression and demons heard it loud and clear!
"Please take away this fear"
I prayed
"Done" said the Holy Spirit

That night, I started confessing my reality in Christ
I belong to Zion
I am Christ
I live as He lives!

The next morning, a student was driven to school by his parents to resume summer school
I asked his parents if I could join them on the trip back to Lagos
They said YES!
I jumped in the vehicle!
After almost a year of self imposed imprisonment due to fear
I was free!
Hallelujah!

Don't be a slave to evil dreams
See the world through the lens of the Word of God!
Everybody dreams regardless of religion
Believers have the exclusive right to the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit does not speak to believers through dreams to which you have to look for an interpreter

Why would he speak to you in puzzles and codes?
Are you Pharaoh?
Are you Nebuchadnezzar?
Are you the chief baker or butler?
When he spoke to Joseph it was with clarity
When he spoke to Joseph the Father of Jesus it was with clarity
The Holy Spirit does not confuse His children!
