/16...Far too often I find that many adults like to focus on the negatives surrounding social media/technology and our kids. We like to celebrate and recognize the positives. In this spirit, I offer the following examples: #parents #digitalliteracy #socialmediasafety #STEAM
What about this teen who developed this App to help students manage their homework
/16... what about teens who are winning full 4 year college scholarships to join e-gaming teams
/16...what about this group of teens who built a fully robotic wheelchair for a pre-teen
/16...What about these teens who competed in a provincial robotics championship
/16...what about this teen who developed a "snowday" App to help notify parents/students when schools have to close because of snow
/16...What about this teen who developed an App to share her First Nations Language with the world
/16... What about this teen that won a $10K scholarship for an App she developed
/16... What about this teen who developed an App to help the medical community
/16... what about this teen who created technology to remove the blind spot in the A-frame of a vehicle
/16... What about these teens who started their own cybersecurity team
/16... what about this teen who developed an App to help teens when it comes to an Opioid overdose
/16... what about this teen who developed a digital cane to help the blind to see
/16...what about these teens who started up their own software company
/16... What about these teens that developed an App to help with Wi-Fi challenges at their school
/16... It has been our experience that the majority of teens are doing super uber cool things online, and we adults need to start acknowledging this fact. Sure there are some that aren't, but this is a rarity rather than the norm! END
