New polling says 53% of Republicans think Trump is a better president than Abraham Lincoln.

Very disturbing, but electorally irrelevant. 53% of registered Republicans equals 5% of Americans.

Don’t let shit like this paralyze you into thinking Trump is somehow magically winning.
Math: there are about 32 million registered Republicans. 53% of them is about 17 million. Which is about 5% of the 330 million total Americans.
Point being: it’s never been about Trump’s base and never will be. They’re a vocal but small demographic. They can’t get him elected dog catcher.

Trump’s fate, in 2016, and 2020, and in general, has always hinged on his quasi-supporters outside his base who could go either way.
If you spend the next year being paralyzed into inaction by each day’s doomsday punditry, Trump will win the election.

If you spend the next year working hard and working smart, Trump will lose the election and go to prison.

It really is as simple as that. It’s all about you.
