anti-vaxxer but make it mental health
This is dangerous public ~musing~ by a writer that stigmatizes those who need mental health care. It is incredibly uninformed b/c it lacks any understanding of (1) what those needing mental health care get from it & (2) what those who provide mental health care give through it.
The worst moments in my adult life have *all* come in moments when I failed to take care of my mental health — specifically when I did not have a therapist who I saw regularly. In those instances, my life improved when I restarted therapy (including after when I got sober).
What a trite, awful series of tweets by this writer for @TheStranger, who has now mockingly doubled down on her dangerous, asinine, uninformed bashing of mental health services. (And admitted that she sent the tweets from a cocoon of not hearing many of the responses to her.) 
Another bad part of all this is that, for many people, helping others & being helped by other non-professionals in a multitude of ways is amazing & productive. Of course! But that has nothing to do with therapy. It’s not an either/or. They have totally different functions.
These are serious issues; no one deserves the dismissive flippancy she gave them. For those who need help, help is out there:
