Finished the book on a train from NYC to Washington earlier this week.

A reporter counters: "Are we going to have a good Christmas?"

Pelosi starts things off not with impeachment but with a plan to lower drug costs, in legislation called the "Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act."
Pelosi counters GOP's claims that House Democrats are ignoring legislating in pursuit of impeachment: "We have 275 bills that are bipartisan on Mitch McConnell's desk."

Rep. Collins says that the first 45 minutes of the hearing have "painted an interesting picture," in a Georgia drawl that suggests that his use of "interesting" here is not altogether favorable.

The subtext is clear: It's the Judiciary's minority time now.
Collins pivots to Professor Turley, who expresses camaraderie with the other scholar witnesses with whom he strongly disagrees.

Turley then critiques Professor Karlan's view of bribery.
Turley: "It gives me no joy to disagree with my colleagues here, and I don't have a dog in this fight."

But Turley says that SCOTUS has rejected a "boundless" interpretation that he accuses Dems of having.

"This is not improvisational jazz. Close enough is not good enough."

I’m gonna go ahead and jump back to 2014-2016 for the start of this thing. It’s a weird couple of years for me, because it is when my obsession with this timeline of events all started taking shape. Not from coincidence, either... But we will get to that in a bit.
So I am a member of the LGBTQIA community but I’ve only been open about it for the last couple of years, incidentally enough the start of this story being 2014 and around the same time where I first felt comfortable enough to publicly disclose my sexuality.

Adelson has private in-person meetings & phone conversations about once a month with #Trump!

Adelson used his access to move the embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and cut aid to Palestinians.
