Seriously, though: Wild that nearly two dozen FOP folks met with the president today in a no-press meeting to badmouth local *elected* officials that Republicans lionized until voters started rethinking what they wanted from their prosecutors.
“Inadequate sentencing!” No wonder the White House wanted to keep this meeting under wraps.
The Baltimore FOP thinks we needed harsher sentences in America. That tells you all you need to know about how far removed from public opinion the FOP is the days.

UPDATE on DOJ's ongoing attempt to carry out an execution on Monday — despite two stays of that first scheduled execution. This morning, DOJ filed a motion at the 7th Circuit to vacate the second stay of execution entered as to Daniel Lewis Lee. scribd.com/document/43859…
DOJ, in its motion, alerted the 7th Circuit that it "respectfully requests" a same-day ruling on the request to vacate a stay of execution — in other words, to allow DOJ to execute a man. And, yes, DOJ says it will go to #SCOTUS should the 7th Circuit deny its request.
This afternoon, Daniel Lewis Lee's lawyers filed their opposition to DOJ's motion: scribd.com/document/43859…

Earlier this year, #Ohio removed 265,000 voters from its roles. Now the state is moving to purge an additional 235,000 voters.

Providers often argue they HAVE to increase prices because Medicare doesn't pay enough to cover their costs.

But high spending is an outgrowth of a few factors, including prices for labor and goods, Rx and DME, and admin:

As late as the mid-1970s, liberals believed another era of left-leaning government was around the corner. When Ted Kennedy fought to kill Richard Nixon’s milquetoast national health care plan, it was under the assumption that something much better would come soon.
While the recession and oil shocks that began in 1973 put a damper on this, liberals did not believe the fundamental equation of American politics had changed. They had a lot more they wanted to do. One goal was to move toward full employment.

My reporting uncovered a key #TrumpRussia dossier meeting between Qatar's Foreign Minister, a top asset manager and the Trump presidential transition, including fixer/bagman Michael Cohen.
Five days ago, I tweeted this link to go into my first #TrumpRussia story about claims that a wealthy Qatari businessman claimed he paid off General Flynn.

The sworn claim itself, by a former Steve Bannon business partner, was incendiary.

That General Flynn had taken a payoff from a Qatari.

Also, his goal of bankrolling a white national political polemicist is an eye-catching headline, but not the story...
