Sitting down, having an entertaining conversation with a local Conservative councillor ... waiting for the hustings to kick off. Good luck @laurafd, @DamianCollins, @SiBishop ... may the best woman win. It's time for change.
I almost forget, we have a Green party candidate ... so good luck @GeorginaTreloar (Green) and @laurafd (Labour).
Listening to @sibishop talk about his experience, his integrity, his decency and how he would never stand down ... pity, he probably should if he wanted to enable real change.
Listening to @DamianCollins talk less about himself and more about the issues. Understandable as a sitting MP. The focus is on democracy, brexit and the European union. Nothing on inequality and giving a tired line about Labour leaving the country broke.
Listening to @GeorginaTreloar ... starting again with a focus on CV but quickly onto environmental impacts, unsustainability of current trajectory - decent mix of global and local - the talk is less polished but more open and honest. Good job.
Now @laurafd ... straight into issues and why we need real change. We don't want to live in a world that is burning, that fear rules people lives not hope, where people are frightened, the sufferring of the homeless, saving the NHS ... oh, cracking stuff. Love it.
@laurafd is knocking it out of the park. Very impressive stuff.
@DamianCollins now focusing on the need for an Amazon tax ... well, you've had a decade to fix this.
Hmmm @DamianCollins brings out the old "tax cuts leads to more tax receipts" ... that's up there with "trickle down effect". Even Conservative HQ knows it's a fib, hence corporation tax wasn't reduced to 17% in order to pay for more nurses.
Whilst @laurafd moves effortlessly from social to economic to environmental issues it is noticeable that @DamianCollins is now falling back on slogans - "get brexit done" etc. Not quite "oven ready" / "Pop it in the microwave" but he is slipping.
Now @DamianCollins is basically accusing Labour of being anti-semitic and against Israel ... this is not fitting even for a local hustings. @laurafd points that out.
Now LibDem @SiBishop does not hold back on calling out BoJo as the liar in chief.
As the two boys go willy wanging, @laurafd brings it back to hope, people and a positive message for the future. #VoteLabourDec12
