Bought two @EmmaMattress based on recommendation - emma-mattress.co.uk - one turned up (less than perfect delivery), other ... who knows.

Basically, good mattress, hopeless distribution. Just sell through Amazon and let professionals deal with distribution & tracking.
@EmmaMattress I mean "Parcel Status: Order data received from sender" ... what is that supposed to mean to me as a customer?

Focus on the customer and their needs. I want to know where my sodding mattress is ... not on where your internal bits of data are.

When? Tomorrow? Next Month?
How? Courier pigeon? A letter n the post?

Why can't you just tell me now? It's farcical. They really should let professionals manage it for them.

... then we had a compromise situation created in Labour with some MPs changing position and a few leaving to join LibDems plus also an night of long knives in the Conservative party removing those last remnants of One Nation Tory ...
What we're left with is stability in the parties but the Conservatives have shifted to full on neoliberalism with anything goes as long as they win, the LibDems are slightly better but no great difference, Labour occupies centre ground along with a few independent (ex Tory MPs).

Regardless of whether this breaches electoral rules, it can certainly influence peoples decision to vote.

Much of this campaign from outrage to misleading ads has been about disenfranchising voters.

Your vote matters. Ignore what is said, make your voice heard. Vote tomorrow.

... much of this election has been about the deliberate use of outrage, misleading statements, alternative truths, outright lies and fear to confuse the electorate to the point that they feel they don't know who to vote for. That's the point, to rob you of your voice ...
... and to lead you into the arms of "strongman" politics where someone else can make the decisions for you.

@HackneyAbbott Back last year in Autumn @sajidjavid allowed the NHS to prescribe medicinal cannabis, since then there has been 18 NHS prescriptions out of 1.4M "Illegal" users.

Do you understand how big this issue is and will you act upon this within the first 100 days?
@HackneyAbbott @sajidjavid A Freedom of Information request also shows that 104 private prescriptions have been handed out since last November, according to the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA), which processes over 1 billion prescription items every year.

One of the worst things about the current Social Justice movement is its unwillingness to engage directly. I understand that not everyone is confident enough to debate or even converse with those who disagree, but then they should have the decency not to criticise them publicly.
I come up against this all the time. I was invited to argue against the claim "We need to decolonise the curriculum" & so I read the books & articles of the academics taking the opposite stance. Both of them dropped out before the debate.
I can't know this was anything to do with me. Something could have come up, but it happens a lot. Same thing happened to a panel on whether or not we need intersectional feminism. The Decolonise STEM symposium disinvited me explicitly.

Reading through @OtherProfGreen summary of the 9th August #UK event, the similarities to the 25th August 2018 #Australian separation event across the #NEM are very interesting to observe.
Firstly, they are all attributed to lightning strikes.

And although the #UK one was easy to identify, the #QLD one took a bit of forensic investigation as it happened at a time that no weather warnings were out for the area.
Both events attribute an initial loss of generation due to disconnection of #distributed #generation #DG

I will get back to this point later, because it is probably the most interesting aspect of both events!!

Has Doordash really overtaken $GRUB & Ubereats, per this @FortuneMagazine piece? "Though DoorDash is top when it comes to consumer $; it trails Uber Eats in total # transactions."
IMO, data seems suspect due to my informal polling.

2. Restaurant give delivery co too much power. Contrasts $GRUB & $UBER mentions vs no mentions of $SYY Sysco
3. Shouldn't $10B delivery rev be / by 15% take to get correct rev comparisons w/ restaurant
1. Delivery attracts new customer for restaurants $MCD: 70% of delivery were ppl who don't dine-in, ~30% cannibalization
2. Avg check per delivery 2x dine-in check; offsets $ to $GRUB
3. $PNRA spent $100M + $2 net variable exp for own delivery

0/ #CO is poised to join #WY in providing safe harbor from securities laws for consumptive tokens. #MT also introduced a similar bill. I want to highlight why I think this is important and what points I hope the SEC considers as it prepares additional guidance.
1/ This legislation builds on a core idea from #WY: It must be possible for entrepreneurs to develop and sell software that is inherently consumptive in nature (i.e., not a passive financial instrument and intrinsically is for use/consumption) w/o implicating securities laws.
2/ The SEC seems to agree and so have regulators/policymakers in just about every other developed nation. The difficulty arises, however, in defining the boundaries of this principle - stated differently, when if ever is usable software actually a security?

Air boxing by top #UK officials is amazing. Who punching at? Unlike in London, #Brexit never been much fight in Brussels, more lament. When some urged penalty in financial settlement, EU ignored & just tabbed up #'s. Citizen rights a 2-way street. Other stuff mainly logistical..
Point again is not to take any side, but merely point out Brussels has had consistent principles, goals & negotiating positions from the start. London still has no consensus on final objective. No one I know in #EU has advocated for "no deal" but some in #UK actually do that...
Have had many many long conversations w/ top London colleagues. Am very conscious of all arguments & concerns on #UK side, incl over Northern Ireland. But even in no deal scenario, #UK will end up facing exact same choice on future relationship w/ EU as now, but w/o transition...
