Since the last time I checked, it looks like that incredibly bad open letter, signed by a mixture of some horrible people and some who I was really surprised to see on there, may have been withdrawn. If that's the case, then this is a good development.
Even better.
I'm not sure if the original letter and signatories are available anywhere now it's been withdrawn. However this is a good critique. Hopefully rather than simply being forgotten without comment, people will learn from this experience.

Now you can compare the complete absence of revolutionary possibility and muddled logic expressed by the "anti-imperialist activists, scholars, artists and lawyers located in the United States" to the clear, uncompromising, position of students in Tehran.
