States should decide they won't collect any parameters other than what is defined in Citizenship act for NPR updation.

Let's understand Citizenship Registry for CAB will be derived from #Census2020 possibly via an algorithmic operation. So refuse anything more than these.
In 2011 census, many of us refused Biometrics based on this and saved ourselves from enrolling for illegal Aadhaar , while giving data to census.

I hope states will step up and ensure data separation between Census and NPR via algorithmic auditing since they control data nodes (district administration) (eg. Religious information may be part of census , but not part of NPR )

My experiments with ICICI's newly launched PayLater account. This seems like a UPI creditcard, but with poor implementation. This looks like another desperate account from banks to get merchant transactions in their control.
Need Imobile to signup for this account. Received an invitation from bank to try it out. Signing up creates a CIBIL enquiry for 10K Overdraft even though initial credit limit allocation was 3750. This gives pl.<handle>@icici as upi handle.
When you use pl.<handle>@icici , the bank first checks for categorization of the handle as a verified merchant. It is not usable for p2p. you need to open Imobile-Paylater-UPI-Pending transfers and approve and submit the transaction via buttons (No PIN).

Just read the story. The story is more about Aadhaar eKYC mess than @paytm & how it is destroying Industry. Whole Banking Industry is now into "mandatory" Aadhaar eKYC rush for even though there is nothing makes aadhaar mandatory for a/c opening. Thread cc: @TheKenWeb

Rules, 2017 clearly specifies that new account holders have upto six months to submit aadhaar.

Parliament Question on 23rd March 2018 says - Notified date or six months of the date of commencement of account based relationship by the client *whichever is later* as the date of submission of Aadhaar number

#CAB After discussion w friend @sumanbery, I see 2 genuine, debatable issues wrt CAB. Shouid (1) religious minorities be defined by common world view or accept PakConstitution's defn of Ahmadi as non-Muslim (2) Religous minorities from Sri Lanka,Nepal, Bhutan be covered by CAB
2/ Reasonable ppl cn hv diff views on these 2 issues. I would reject the 2nd on Geoploitical & pragmatic grounds, ignoring logical consistency. I am torn on 1st issue bcs in World's eyes Ahamadi are part of Muslim majority, but in Pakistan they are a declared minority since 1974
3/ There's no logical connection btwn CAB & NRC.The existence or not of a CAB has no relevance to what will or not happen to NRC, which was directed by a Supreme Court judgement/direction decades ago & has been held in limbo bcs of implementation difficulties(now visible in Assam

Please remember political parties are being blackmailed into passing #CAB b/c half of the 1.9 million identified foreigners in Assam are Hindus who have to be given citizenship.

What happens to other half?
Modi ji & EAM are assuring Bangladesh the other half won’t be sent back, but HM Amit Shah is claiming they will be sent back.

As always, duplicity & double speak abound.

But if the other half will not be sent back, where will they go? Permanent Detention Centers?
Please understand that the issue of how we treat the other half of identified “foreigners” is vital but is deliberately sought to buried under the loud argument over who is responsible 4 partition.

To mind, this vital aspect hasn’t come to the fore in the Lot Sabha debate.

BJP needs #CAB to extricate itself from the mess it created in Assam with its NRC, where of the 1.9 million identified refugees, over half are Hindus who can’t be sent back to Bangladesh. It is give these Hindus citizenship, while denying it to Muslims, that CAB is needed.
CAB has nothing 2 do with partition on whatever grounds. The Congress did no ask for partition. The Muslims did because both RSS and Jinnah propounded the two nation theory which Gandhi opposed & continued to oppose even after partition. 4 which h was murdered By RSS hero Godse.
I see no reason why Amit Shah’s pack of lies & half-truths in Parliament can’t be exposed before the Nation. He is no record, assuring Hindus in Assam that he was legislating CAB in order to give them citizenship while denying it to Muslims. CAB is simply a cover 4 BJP folly.
