Makes it hard for the country to move on if the government is obsessed with continually winning the battle they have now won

Worst thing, one suspects many in government will be happy that so many of us are criticising enshrining end 2020 for trade deal or not. Independent voices are not to be encouraged, only experts who follow the line are welcome
If you're a UK business dependent on international trade the continuing insistence on headlines over substance in negotiations can only be highly depressing.

Also, direction of travel is US FTA over EU FTA. Either makes the other less likely, so if the first is prioritised the second may well not happen. Though even the voice of US-UK business would prioritise UK-EU over UK-US. **** business.
