1/n We need to clear a few things being peddled on social media before crying foul over #CAA_NRC . The following pic is being circulated on SM to harp upon 'only' anti-Muslim nature of #CAA_NRC . This is blatant falsehood.

2/n If in future , a non-Muslim is not able to show documents to show his ancestry he/she doesn't get a free ride under #CAA_NRC for citizenship, as is being shamelessly peddled on SM without understanding #CAA_NRC. He/She still has to show documents to satisfy following criteria

3/n News channels are also not addressing this properly and thus helping in obfuscation of the real issue. My opposition to this whole exercise of #CAA_NRC is based on the fact that this act and NRC are blatantly anti-poor rather than anti-Muslim.

4/n We already have an example. For ex : Around 19 lakh people were excluded from NRC in Assam . These numbers are not comprised of majority Muslims. But the poor (including Hindus) form the majority of the excluded.

5/n Thus opposition is lying in our face when it doesnt address the true anti-poor nature of this law and instead decries its anti-Muslim nature only. That being said, BJP itself misses every chance to clear the air as polarisation will only serve their purpose.
