THREAD: We have spent 2019 reporting from the front-line of austerity, poverty, racism, exploitation and worker’s struggle. We have also broken major stories which have exposed the super rich and the far right. We are extremely proud of the work we’ve done since we launched. 1/9

We have done this with no backers or funding and with a team of just four people. But we want to do far more and that’s why we’re asking for your help.

As we enter 2020, faced with a Conservative government that will continue a punishing regime of austerity whilst attacking civil rights and fuelling racism, we cannot be complacent. It is crucial that we have a media which is committed to doing 3 things: 4/9

1- Reporting from the sections of society worst affected by the policies of this Tory government and ones previously.

2- Giving a platform and voice to people and communities who are engaged in resistance and struggle.

3 - Exposing the far right, big business and the super rich, and shining a light on politicians who represent lobbyists more than they do people who are suffering.

We want to raise an initial £1000. This will mean that we can report on more stories from across the whole of Wales, we can produce more video & audio content and it will mean that we are better prepared to face challenges from people in power who don’t like what we are doing.7/9

The money will be used to cover website costs in 2020, pay for travel expenses and even invest in some modest equipment such as tripods and mics. We aim to have a more permanent & viable business model, but for now we are seeking to raise a modest amount to take us forward. 8/9

In the coming year, we want to report from the school strikes for climate, produce a major feature on the Welsh Independence movement and look at issues as diverse as farming, mental health and political lobbying in Wales. Click here to support us bit.ly/34zaWKc 9/9
