*English language requirements for studies Abroad*
For study abroad applications,
universities require applicants from countries where the first language isn't english, to show proof of English proficiency through SAT, ACT, GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS.
This requirement is set at variant score levels from university to university.

However, for Nigerian applicants several universities in different countries like Norway and Canada accept WAEC Cert with a credit in english, in place of the English Test requirement.
Also, so many other universities accept Proof of English Proficiency letters issued by past institutions of applicants.

*Letter of English Proficiency*
An English proficiency letter contains a statement or attestation by your university that you
posess sufficient English skills, in the areas of speaking, listening reading and writing.
And that, the language of instruction for the program which you studied is English.

Most universities address this letter to particular foreign institution,
but it is advisable it is addressed to "WHOM IT MAY CONCERN" so applicants can tender it to any institution.
