In numerous interviews, Amit Shah keeps talking about “Hindu refugees in relief camps” while explaining why the CAA was brought in.

Fact is, he’s lying out of his teeth.

In the Joint Parliamentary Committee report, the Intelligence Bureau deposed & said that protection under CAA will be available ONLY to those who declared and proved religious persecution on their arrival in India.

NOT to any new claimants who are already here.

Therefore, only 31,113 refugees qualify for citizenship under the CAA as that’s the number of people who have claimed & proven religious persecution when they entered India.

Claims of ANYONE else will not be entertained without clearance from R&AW, said the IB.

So the “lakhs of refugees in relief camps” that Amit Shah talks about will NOT be eligible for protection under the CAA.

He’s lying openly.

The CAA, ergo, covers only 31,113 people proving that this was NOT the point of the Amendment.

Now, IMPORTANT:

here’s what the JPC report says about Muslims.

It clearly states that “Muslim immigrants should be kept in detention centers while minorities should be given citizenship”.

And what’s the method of doing this? That’s right - a NATIONWIDE NRC.

This whole rubbish about “there won’t be a nationwide NRC” is utter lies.

The CAA was created purely for a nationwide NRC where other communities will be protected & Muslim “immigrants” will be sent to detention camps.

The CAA is a Communal Atrocities Act.
