If a cop (non-officer) has removed their name badge, take a quick look at the belt buckles.
The buckle should have a number on it which identifies every police personnel of the rank Head Constable and below.
Pls note that down immediately.

This is what police manuals say about uniform rules:
1. A mix of plainclothes and uniform articles is NOT allowed
2. Full uniform (which includes name badges) should be worn on duty.
Police personnel not abiding by this need to be identified and brought to book.

If you’re being detained or assaulted by a cop below the rank of Head Constable, note down their buckle number.
If it’s an officer, remember their shoulder insignia & try to click a pic of their faces.
