The American attacks on Iraq and its assasination of #Soleimani is also a death blow to the #IraqiProtests. These acts now have re-centered American desires and interests including their conflict with Iran in Iraq. (1/6)
#IraqiProtests now must work extra hard to navigate through an escalating regional conflict being fanned by a maniacal government in DC. Iran will respond. It has to. The US has made sure of it. Every Iraqi political force has to now pick a side with deadly consequences. (2/6)
The issues at the heart of the Iraqi revolution have all become secondary for the time being. The whims and desires of the racists in the halls of DC are once again the priority. What we need to understand is that there was no reason for this. (3/6)
This escalation did not need to happen. If the US was truly interested in the wellbeing of Iraq, it would have tampered down its rhetoric in Iraq over Iran & allowed the protestors who have been spilling their blood to push for their revolutionary demands on the Iraqi state. (4/6)
If the revolution’s demands were heeded then Iran & US influence would have decreased. But the US has made Iraq into its battlefield once again. It wants to fights ITS war in Iraq. Iraqis be damned. The death of one of its mercenaries is worth the blood of all Iraqi protestors 5/6
The death of one of its “contractors” is worth the future of Iraq. This is the plain truth that must be understood. In the eyes of the racists in the halls of DC, Iraqis, Iranians, Lebanese, and the lives of anyone throughout the Third World is not worth much. (6/6)
Our bodies, our lives, and our future is simply a terrain for their tanks to roll on and their drones to bomb. We are playthings for their devious plots.
