Ok folks, I have decided to update as best I can on Mississippi because there is (sadly) a lot of bad information out there. I have spent all day (literally) on the phone with prisoners, family members and media as well as messaging back and forth

I will say this- MDOC is NOT being even close to transparent with the media and MS Govt. In all my years of advocacy/activism I have NEVER not had a govt rep respond. Mississippi state reps do not respond.
With that being said, these prisoners can use positive thoughts, prayers and good vibes- what ever you got- send it on to them, please.
YES. this is a gang war, period. It was started in Wilkinson by a female guard. I dont want to hear CRAP about gangs because if you are familiar with the system, it is a NON ISSUE right now and you should understand that- I shouldnt have to explain. Please dont. (thanks)
YES, there is a man STILL (+18 hours) hanging in Parchman 29, I was told A or B building.
Yes, Guards are involved by "popping locks" and providing keys.
YES there were two fires in Parchman that is why we see smoke in the live hour long video.
NO- there have been NO LIVE ROUNDS fired inside any prison or jail.
NO -the men are not really being fed. Cereal and 24 hours later a few slices of lunch meat with some cookies is NOT a meal. They are HUNGRY.
