On Jan 2 Andy Ngo went on a radio program with @globalnews host Alex Pierson to discuss the cancellation of his talk at UBC.

2/ The Free Speech Club and Ngo have maintained that the event was canceled due to "threats of antifa violence," with Ngo even tweeting that "violence was promised" by antifa groups. We have seen no evidence of this. Further, @ubc_students is an explicitly non-violent group.

3/ How do we know that? One of our collective members attended their strategy meeting on how to best approach countering this planned talk. @ubc_students has always been explicitly non-violent.

No explicit safety concerns were made public or provided to any party.

5/ We are extremely concerned about Ngo being platformed & unchallenged for his own role in what he calls "antifa violence," & the misinformation and untruths discussed.

Intro, where Pierson states antifascists are "thugs."

6/ Pierson states antifascists' tactics make them "the very thing they fight." She also states "these tactics" are not acceptable on the right and asks Ngo why this is given a pass on the left. Ngo blames communism and far-left ideology.

7/ Ngo references the counter at Mohawk College a "riot."

8/ Ngo references Willem Van Spronsen, who attacked empty ICE vehicles, a day before their intention to round up thousands, in a parking lot, & who was shot dead. Only Van Spronsen was harmed. He also references the Dayton shooter.

Ngo states antifascists are "willing to kill."

9/ This is absolutely untrue. Antifascists have been responsible for zero deaths since 9/11.

10/ Ngo references Betts, the Dayton shooter, was an antifascist. In truth, Betts was an extreme misogynist, and apart from some Twitter follows, he never participated in any antifascist action. To call him an antifascist is disingenuous and false.

11/ Pierson states that UBC canceling the event is bending "to oppressors." Ngo states it's the "death of academia" if he isn't permitted to speak. Both agree this could end up being a good thing for Ngo.

12/ Pierson's conclusion is alarming, calling UBC's cancellation "gross," and wondering when something will be done. Pierson states people should learn the other side. She continues to claim Ngo is taking admirable risks in his work.

13/ Ngo has been exposed as being aware of the Patriot Prayer attack on Cider Riot, an antifascist friendly bar, hanging around with them prior to the assault. He then framed the assault as an "antifa brawl." One woman's vertebrae was crushed.

14/ Further, an infiltrator in Patriot Prayer, who exposed Ngo's involvement with the Cider Riot assault on video, had this to say:

15/ Additionally, there are some concerns with views Pierson has shared on Twitter. Here, she tweets untruths about M-103 and Islam.

16/ The sharing of the South African white genocide myth is a concern. This has become a cause celebre of the far-right white nationalist movement in South Africa. The account this is tweeted from is an overt white nationalist.

We forgot to include the time that Pierson platformed a known hate group adjacent Yellow Vester in their election panel and called the coverage of YVC and UWR “spin.”

They were made aware of Katula’s associations prior.
