Do you know that it is sunnah to begin your Du'a with praising Allaah (SWT), then blessings upon the Prophet (SAW) before you ask whatever you want to ask from Allah (SWT)?
“The Prophet (SAW) heard a man making du’aa’ in his prayer without glorifying Allaah or sending blessings upon the Prophet (SAW).
So, the Prophet (SAW) said:
‘This man is in a hurry.’ He called him & said to him or to someone else:
(This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 1314).
“Every du’aa’ is not responded to until one sends blessings upon the Prophet (SAW).”
Narrated by Baqiy ibn Mukhallid from ‘Ali in a marfoo’ hadeeth & classed as saheeh by Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 4523.
“Du’aa’ is detained between the heavens & the earth & no part of it is taken up until you send blessings upon your Prophet (SAW).”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 486; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 403.
A) Begin by praising Allaah (SWT) with His best attributes & His beautiful names.
B) Then send blessings unto the Prophet (SAW) immediately after praising Allah.
These are the openers of the Du'a session.
D) Then you can seek for whatever you want from Allah (SWT) in your Du'a.
E) Then when closing the Dua, again send blessings upon the Noble Prophet (SAW).
This is the Sunnah of Dua.
May Allaah accept all our prayers.
Please include me in your Du'a. I have a very big project ahead, & I need your Du'a. Thank you all.
