As I read various optimism about Facebook’s news this morning, I’m struck by “insanity” (running into wall over and over again) as there is a complete failure to recognize Facebook’s failures, lack of org / structural change. There is *zero* reason to trust the company on this.
I hate to be harsh and don’t feel need to share my doc with their year of madness misleading, obfuscating governments, hiring nefarious forms, covering up wrongdoing, threatening journalists on issues with farms from discrimination to genocide to dictators. But come on. WTF up.
So yeah the company can actually make product changes and we can all applaud them. But don’t for a minute give them ink or credibility and trust that they’re doing what is right for anything but their $$$ let alone democracy and free speech.
