Lost in all the kerfuffle about the royal family, Iran, etc. is the fact that the Withdrawal Agreement Bill passed the HOC. It passed easily, 330 to 231!
It still has to get through the HOL, but it's impossible to imagine any realistic scenario in which it doesn't. So that's it.

Of course, the EU still have to ratify the Withdrawal Agreement, but it's hard (though not impossible) to see them not doing so given that it would mean we would leave without a deal, and it would be "their fault" (Note the quotes! I am only conveying what our media will say.)
By my money, that's a grim enough milestone to qualify for drown-your-sorrows time. For me, that means a small glass of white wine (if you've followed me for any length of time, you'll already know I don't drink much). Watch out, Twitter!🍷
