Personally I favor a small brood of fish vigilante: the humble medaka will populate any standing water bigger than a bucket and will breed by itself indefinitely as long as you have a couple of aquatic plants in there. They love mosquito eggs.
Maybe the coolest medaka breed are the space medaka: descendants of the four medaka that hatched on the Space Shuttle Columbia in 1994.

A problem with modern books is that they are often garish and ugly, designed to capture your attention at the competitive book store but not to fit into your private home. The solution to this is the Japanese custom one-sheet-fits-all book covers... #ブックカバー
When you buy a book in Japan, the store staff will fold and cover your book in their own custom made paper, designed to be understated and easy on the eye. Not only does it protect your book but you can read in public and on trains without people know what you are reading.
Each store has their own subtly different design of cover paper, some designers and illustrators make their own and sell them in blocks. There's even collectors and antique ones in good condition sell for quite a bit of money.

The absolutely simplest way to make a "good room" is to opt for deep windows: the deeper the better. It creates a window as a "place" instead of a mere "opening" and it works in absolutely all types of residential buildings/homes, and all rooms in them.
If your walls are simply not thick enough to create the necessary depth, the only option is to "build up" the edges and surrounds with woodwork. It also works well, but is tricky because less than optimal work will inevitably look tacky. Here it is done rather well:
The exact same thing goes for the outside of a home: all windows ought to have window surrounds that match the rest of the building, if a stately home. For a low key humble home, always go for shutters. Nothing else will deliver as much "sense of home" bang for as few bucks.

...but slip through one of the portals and you find yourself transported to another world: quiet, relaxed, safe, even lusher, private courtyards. Less than a second stroll away from a busy commercial high street. This is an example of absolute #MasterClassUrbanism. #Proveniershof
The courtyard and its houses as we know them today are mostly from 1681, built as cheaper housing for less well off (but not completely destitute widowers and older men).
"Affordable housing", in other words.

which aims to improve infrastructure and services in the Pacific Islands region. Representatives from the U.S. Departments of State and Interior as well as USAID attended the December 11 meeting of the PRIF held in Sydney, which welcomed the United States as a full member.

There’s a bigger and more interesting story to be told here about the relationship between rural electrification, suburbanism, urban blight, and the difference between the telco and Internet financial models.
Tl;dr: it doesn’t make sense, economically or as a matter of social policy, for a retail Internet service provider to try to be so big that it’s providing service in both rural and urban areas. Or disconnected areas.
