We talk a lot on my show (and black journalists and political scientists have long discussed) the deep pessimism about America --and about white peers -- that Trump's presidency has created among Black Americans. This data absolutely backs that up. 
Grim views all around, about the Trump era.
And the views are striking when compared to the relative optimism during the Obama and even George W. Bush eras.
The interviews with respondents are particularly tough.
And so here we are. Good for the @washingtonpost talking with a group of voters the media has not spent much ink on, and whose views are tough, but just as valid as the views of all those Trump voters in diners.
