Thread on Section 15, Women's Commission Act, 1990.

The Commission shall perform all or any of the following functions namely: (1/n)

- Inquire into unfair practices
- recommend actions to be taken

- cause investigations on issues of importance concerning women

Submit annual report on
- shortcomings in laws in force
- remedial legislative measures to be taken
- monitoring of working of laws in force
- identify where enforcement isnt adequate
- monitor recruitment

- inspect prisons, police stations, rescue homes/ other places of custody on unfair practice to women
- inquire into complaints made about treatment of women and girls
