Within 24 hours of the Pentagon certifying that Ukraine had met all anti-corruption benchmarks for receiving military aid, Trump directed his staff to block all military aid. What is it you *hate* about the Pentagon, @TedCruz, that causes you to trust Captain Bone Spurs far more?
@tedcruz 1/ According to @TedCruz, the Pentagon lied when it said Ukraine had passed all anti-corruption benchmarks on June 18. Can someone explain why media isn't asking Cruz to elaborate on his claim the Pentagon lied and two corrupt Ukrainian lawyers are more trustworthy than our army?
@tedcruz 2/ @TedCruz obviously *must* hate the United States military, to so capriciously reject its June 18 declaration on corruption in Ukraine and adopt, instead, the view of two corrupt Ukrainian lawyers—both of whom were *fired* by Ukraine's Congress (the Rada). Someone ask him why?

PS/ I tried cases for years, so I know—as do many in media—what Blackburn put out there is character evidence she considers not just relevant but admissible as part of her deliberations. But Lt. Col. Jim Hickman isn't a witness—and Blackburn will vote *against* any new witnesses.
PS2/ So you have an *active federal juror* confessing that she's listening to a self-avowed Trump supporter who is *not under oath* and *not subject to cross-examination* but is providing evidence *on Twitter* he wants jurors to hear, but she *won't* hear from Trump's former NSA.

(THREAD) Schiff warned America last night that Trump might do with China—agree to a clandestine deal to get dirt on Biden, not just inviting but accepting foreign election interference—what he tried to do in Ukraine. The problem? He already did. I hope you'll read on and RETWEET.
1/ In June 2019, at the same time that Trump was telling ABC News that he would accept foreign intelligence on a political rival, he held a call with Xi Jinping of China in which he discussed Biden's "political prospects" *and* made a key promise on trade.
2/ Then, Trump's agent for secret deals with other nations on Biden—Giuliani—had a meltdown over Biden and China, falsely claiming "the Bidens got $1.5 billion from China, which had to be a deliberate act, on the part of China, to buy the vice presidency." mediamatters.org/rudy-giuliani/…

Over the Cliff Notes on Laura Cooper’s deposition.

She's the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia

Mostly she talked about the withholding of aid to Ukraine.
She also obliterates a few of the GOP talking points.
1/ Cooper testified that the security aid is “vital” to helping the Ukrainians defend themselves from Russian aggression.

She also testified that the security assistance helps US security by deterring further Russian aggression and thus has bi-partisan support in the U.S.
2/ Cooper explained that in May 2019, Ukraine met the anti-corruption benchmarks set by the Pentagon to make it eligible to receive security assistance.
