Look, it sucks that the GOP is flouting their contempt, but that "must remain seated" rule going around is about conduct, not attendance. It says if they're there, they can't take the floor. It's to prevent grandstanding. It doesn't compel them to be there. They can leave.
Maybe there's another rule that does compel attendance. I'm not an expert. But the one about staying in seats that circulated yesterday does not say what people are saying it does.
And all this "lock them up!", "we got them now!" stuff isn't helpful.

It's their choice to blow off their duties. Pointing out they're doing it > trying to find arcane crimes in Senate rules.
