The imprint that pieces of writing leave on peoples’ minds is correlated with the length of the piece.
Some say that every book could be a blog. That’s probably true. But a book argues a point from so many angles, and if read over time causes you to think about its contents for a couple weeks, which ingrains the ideas in your mind.
Despite the length, I’m happy with a book if I take away one major piece of thought from it, but it’s *indelibly* left in my mind.
