1. Hearing from God is foundational to our living in Rest. We said last week that this life was designed for us to live in God’s rest; living in alignment with the foundation that God laid. Jesus said I judge nothing of my own only by what I hear from the Father (John 5:19) #Rest
2. Jesus was yoked, connected with God the Father; he never did anything outside what God the father told him to do. He often had to make tough decisions but any time Jesus took a step in alignment with God, a miracle happened. #Rest
3. Hearing from God and obeying him is how we find alignment. We have said that we have to prioritise our relationship with God over rules set by men, we have to listen to God and we must let go of our bias and prejudice. #Rest
4. To hear from God, read and meditate on the scriptures. They will help you to acquire God’s vocabulary. The scriptures teach us what God will say, what God will not say, what is right and what is not (2 Tim. 3:16-17 NLT). #Rest
5. You train yourself to receive from God by meditating on the scriptures; you will find that the Holy Spirit will speak to you through verses of scripture. The only difference is that you will feel differently about that word. You will sense it being directed at you. #Rest
6. If you have a store of vocabulary in French then you can communicate in French. Fill your mind and imagination with the scriptures. The more you want to understand God, the more you should fill yourself with God’s vocabulary (Joshua 1:8, Ps. 1). #Rest
7. To hear from God, watch out for spontaneous thoughts, pictures or texts. Someone says but God doesn’t speak to me, I’d say you have discovered how God speaks to you. If you can confirm that Satan speaks to you through thoughts then you can find out how God speaks to you #Rest
8. Most of the time what you will get are thoughts, pictures. With time, you will get to tell thoughts from God apart from others. Revelation usually comes with a sensation. #Rest
9. One of the ways that you will know it is God speaking is that it will not be along your logical train of thought; it’s like an interruption in your thinking. #Rest
10. A sensation usually accompanies the thought (Luke24:27-32). The thoughts may come while you are awake or while you are asleep. I pray in the name of Jesus that whatever that instruction is that will move you to the next level , it will be made available to you. #Rest
11. God speaks through his prophets (Amos 3:7 NLT). God did not put you here to have you beat about the bush; he wants to reveal things to you. God still speaks through inspired people and God gives people the extraordinary gift of intuition (Eph. 4:11 NLT). #Rest
12. This is the New Testament; always remember that every Christian can prophesy now (Acts 2:16-17). The Holy Spirit that is in the prophet is inside you; don’t open yourself up to confusion or deception. #Rest
13. If you are not lazy, what someone says should be a confirmation of what you sense already or at least while it is being said, the spirit of God confirms it to you. #Rest
14. Put your receiver on the right frequency (Job 32:8 KJV, NLT, Message). Your spirit, will, mind emotions. Inspiration is the key to revelation. Inspiration is what lifts the human spirit to that frequency to where it downloads information from the spirit realm. #Rest
15. You want to put your spirit in the state to receive from God. Rather than access the spirit realm with drugs (Eph. 5:18), read books and leverage on music. Read 2 Kings 3. #Rest
16. Put your equipment (your spirit) on the right frequency and in the right frame to receive. Be careful not to put yourself on the frequency of negativity, you won’t hear anything (Heb. 11:6) #Rest
17. I pray that this season, your eyes and ears are open. The spirit of the living God moves on your Spirit, receive capacity to hear God clearly in Jesus’ name. Whatever has obstructed your capacity to hear God is removed now. #Rest
