'Why do people read a book multiple times?'

Because they see a part/s of themselves in that book.

And each time they read it, they learn more about themselves & solidify the core principles.
What's the difference between wet cement & hardened cement?'

Structure.

Exactly.

The same analogy holds true with re-reading...👀👇
The first time you're reading a book, the cement is wet.

Which is why I never take notes the first time.

Just read it & gain an understanding.

Gotta see if it resonates
Some books are valuable in knowledge, but don't apply to me.

I read it & keep it in the bookshelf.

They may come in handy later.
Certain books stick out automatically.

You don't even need to 'focus.'

You're naturally curious about the book.

So you see something divine is keeping you glued to the reading material.

And u absorb the words seamlessly.
'Why does this happen?'

This happens because the book is speaking to your identity.

Your mind has a 'me' faculty known as the ego.

And the principles are speaking straight to that part.
Sometimes you have no clue why this is happening.

You can't logically explain it.

But your ego isn't logical.

You're reading with such purpose because there is resonation involved.
A few reasons a book resonates:

1. Its speaking to a past memory or memories that were unclear.

2. It is giving you a blue print in your present state.

3. It is giving you a blue print on what you're desires want u to become.
For material like that, you need to dry the concrete.

The first time you read it, you'll mainly see words with vague pictures.

So repeat.
'Idk bro, I need to read another book. My friend Mikey is already on his 10th book this year!'

But you aren't Mikey.

You are you.

Comparing your journey to Mikey will have you becoming a knockoff mikey.

And a watered down you.
If you're feeling the resonation, then you need to read it again.

☆Mikey is focusing on the waves of the ocean.

☆You are focusing on the DEPTH of the ocean.

There are levels
Each time you re read:

Principles become solidified
Words turn into pictures
Mind becomes focused
You see things you missed out on
You evolve
'Gotcha. You ever take notes?'

Nah.

It's not a bad thing to take notes, but just not my thing.

For some people it works though.

So let yourself decide what works for u
A book seems different each time you read it because wet cement is hardening.

And your awareness is expanding.
It's like you're in a room and there is a dimmer light switch.

The room is pitch back.

But gradually, more light is being spilled into the room.

You see some furniture.

A TV.

A TV stand.
But as the light shines even more, now you begin seeing the smaller stuff.

You see the shoes on the ground.

The pen lying on the table.

A water bottle.

Etc.
Focus on the quality.

Even if you are someone who lacks intuition, just be on the lookout for these signs:

1. You seamlessly absorb the book.
2. You feel some tingles in your spine & traps.
3. And the heart is engaged & feeling sensations
If those elements check out, then re read.

And apply what you learn.

Don't just read all day. That's not what this thread is advocating for.

Action beats consumption.

But action and consumption rules all.
Turn the wet cement into buildings, mansions & castles.

A strong mind is a happy mind.

And a happy mind sees what others are blind to.
