(1/3) I’ve been sharing my thoughts each day of the impeachment trial, and here’s day 8: We are in the question and answer portion of the trial. So far senators have asked over 50 questions and we have another few hours to go.
(2/3) My first red notebook is almost full, and my fingers are covered with blue ink from my felt tip pen. It’s interesting to hear the two sides go back and forth, and there have been some good questions. But...
(3/3) It’s kind of nuts to hear the President’s lawyers threaten that hearing witnesses in the Senate will take too much time. During the Clinton impeachment, it took the Senate one day to depose each witness. How is having a fair trial too time consuming?
