Just finished the new Amazon doc series "Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer"

It's remarkable. Astonishing really. Almost totally absent is the voice of Bundy, over-glorified in most things.

Instead, the women narrate. The victims. Their sisters and friends. The detectives. /1
It's about them. What it was like being a woman while Bundy was preying on women. How he got away with dozens more murders because women weren't taken seriously as victims, witnesses, investigators. How ill-prepared the society was to deal with serial attackers of women./2
It goes in depth on the guilt of the women who got away, evaded him, survived. On those who fell for his lies and games. On how they have struggled to deal with what that means. /3
It's also pretty cutting on how bundy's "upstanding young man" routine got him favors up until the end.

He was a monster, and many still have him the benefit of the doubt.

Without his propaganda, the film shows how BS that mindset is /4
It's so hard to tell the stories of survivors of these monsters. The many many lives they destroyed.

"Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer" does that in a beautiful, elegant, patient way.

It is unique and powerful documentary storytelling. Remarkable. /5
Btw It also seems clear that there's a targeting trolling campaign to tank the reviews on @amazon @PrimeVideo which is exactly as predictable and disappointing as it sounds. /6
