HOW TO START THE INFORMATION MARKETING BUSINESS
Running an information marketing business is different from selling an information product.
You have to run it like a business entity.
1. Begin with market research.
What you should look go is a hungry market
A problem like a rash, an itch that they want to scratch.
Basically, your market must have a problem and have the capacity to pay for whatever solution you come up with.
1. Observe ads.
Watching ads to see what people are selling can give you a hint to the problem of the market, especially if several people are running same ads.
Newspapers, Social media, magazines, are good places to start.
Facebook groups, Nairaland and other such forums wildcat provide you a window into the probpems people face. Use them.
3. Observe conversations on twitter.
Here's what I do sometimes, whenever a respectable account makes a thread
I then ask the question in groups I belong to, to see if more people have similar problem.
You can use this tool to check for keywords people are searching on google and the volume of search. There are paid versions that bring better results.
5. Interact with customers and clients.
Ask them about the I struggles and challenges.
Don't assume you know it all. Assume you are just a fresh idiot (this is how I approach market research).
Ask questions and don't try to be smart.
You want to make money not gather accolades.
Are there enough people having this problem and willing to pay for your solution?
Or if it is a small market, are there enough people with top dollar and paying high ticket for solution?
How is that market evolving? And what I changing with it?
For instance, corporate branding used to be the ish, today everyone seems to talk about personal branding.
You should also identify the best format your market will prefer
Once you are done with identifying your market, the next step is to test the market, then create the solution to sell.

This could be a free trial of you offer. It can also be free, valuable content aimed at attracting them.
Something not too pricey. 10k ($29) to 30k ($100) is ideal.

3. Sell a higher priced training program on the back of the eBook or CD program.
This could be upwards of N70,000 ($200)
It is impossible to package everything in one product so your customers, I they find value in your lower priced product, will take you up on membership.
This could be from $300 to $1000.
