Speaking at a @CER_EU event in Brussels, EU trade boss Phil Hogan says that the ‘Brexit debate has been a tyranny over British public life’ for the last few years and the public voted in Boris Johnson because they understandably ‘got fed up’ of the paralysis in Westminster.
Phil Hogan says that ‘Brexit is far from complete, the crucial phase is only beginning now’. He says that ‘while I recognise Brexit fatigue, people will have to stay awake for this year’. He adds that ‘the only day that really counts is December 31st’ and not January 31st’.
