Matches what I found, to my surprise, talking w/ black voters in 3 states last month (I was in TN, IN & upstate NY): folks were open to Bloomberg esp if Biden falls off. Also got positive mentions re Steyer (esp in TN where his southern spending is likely paying off) & Warren.
More specifically, what black voters consistently told me was that their only priority... not their number one but their ONLY priority is beating Trump. They are realists who said every candidate has some past race issues but Bloomberg has $100 billion to beat Trump with.
I did ask Bloomberg-open voters about stop and frisk and those who were aware of it countered that he worked with Obama on things like climate and guns and with black mayors. He (and Steyer) are also hiring black staff & doing voter registration and it's paying off locally.
