In light of recent events, I’m calling on @OregonSOS to warn Oregon counties about the severe risks posed by mobile voting apps. This week, Americans saw firsthand the consequences of relying on untested voting technology. 
Apps like Voatz pose an additional threat to service-members overseas. Troops serving our country deserve to know that their votes are secure. States shouldn't be putting votes at risk until there's a full federal audit of apps like Voatz and their potential vulnerabilities.
States have no business putting the fate of our democracy in the hands of technology that hasn't been proven to be secure or effective. Americans' votes shouldn't be treated like guinea pigs in the search for new and more efficient ways of voting. Full stop.
