I didn’t know that’s what calculus was ACTUALLY trying to do either. My intro to math twitter was those riddles people would share, and I thought it was SO CRAZY that given these conditions (premise) here are things we can extrapolate. It’s like inference but ... responsible.
The power of geometry is innebriating. I can see how relations w/ shape can give the impression that we can understand the world THROUGH shape, provided we can properly define all the dimensions.

But a graph in 2 dimensions can ACTUALLY have CRAZY variation along another axis. So in my photo I think there’s something like 153! variations that can produce the same image? Whatever it is ... a flattened image can be informed by infinite variation in other dimensions. 
And that’s dope. I heard today cars have “speed sign detection” and I screamed WHAT IF IT READS THE WRONG SPEED BECAUSE OF A SHARP REFLECTION OF THE SUN!!!! They built the machines in Summer, but the procession changes in Winter and can cause sharp glares!!!
I don’t even know WHY we would do this, but now I know there is a RANGE of glares to consider lmao. N e way ... SHAPE IS SO WONDEERRFFFUUULLL.
