I'd like to be really clear that Russia has effectively kept me safe for 4 years, at all times abiding by legal processes, but that process has been hindered by my lack of UNCHR refugee status, which my legal team are working hard to try to remedy. 1/3
Russia has never interfered with me or my work in any way and are not to blame for my situation. The Western agencies who persecute me are to blame, and intervention is require from the international community as per international law... 2/3
in order to keep us safe from those who have extrajudicially punished me for my political opinions and my lawful, democratic activism and journalism 3/3

Unfortunately I can't read this wanton smear of dissenting public intellectuals, as when I try, I get a data-usage pop-up. When I click "Learn more" it says "manage options" then doesn't let me manage/opt out of anything. Just inundates me with legal text

So apparently, in order to even read the smear, I need to consent to "Verizon Media" collecting and/or sharing and/or selling information about me. It tells me to review my "privacy dashboard" and this is what I see: verizonmedia.com/policies/ie/en…
Six clicks in, I discover there is in fact a 'control' mechanism, but only if you have a Yahoo/AOL account. Which is of little use to the average or happenstance reader who Verizon Media seeks to - apparently ubiquitously - collect data from

I have three different unwritten articles banging around my head. It's like sharing mindspace with screaming kids. I can't decide which to write or whether to write any at all. The words sear themselves across my brain. I feel the need to exorcise them but don't have the energy.
One is the sequel to "Understanding World War III". One's a half-written piece I did on WikiLeaks but didn't finish cos I was sidetracked with legal/IRL stuff. All the predictions in it already came true. One is NZ-focused; a true history of the sabotage of Internet Party '14-'17
It feels like being 9 1/2 mth pregnant but unable to make labour start. My mind clashes with the fact that I should be focusing on other stuff rather than writing monolithic articles but writing monolithic articles is what I do! Instead of writer's block I get writer's inundation

Too often war or a threat of war is used to seize control of the news cycle, the public narrative, and yes even our thoughts. It's psychological "shock and awe".

Iran is important & staving off the warmongers is important, but we need to stay present with & for other issues too
(Though arguably they're all related!)
